Q: How long have you been a stylist and what are your educational bragging rights?

A:I have been a licensed cosmetologist for 13 years. I entered the hair world of beauty school at the age of 17.  I was very fortunate to be able to follow my dreams. I am certified in Keratin Complex straightening and have been offering amazing results to my clients for 8 years.  I am also trained in eye brow and lip waxing – that is a bonus to add to your hair service.  I have been educated in Redkin, Pureology and Sexy Hair Products.  I am extremely excited to be a part of the Tribe Salon that offers a ton of education in Oribe and R+CO.

Q: What do you love about your craft?

A: What I love about my craft is the freedom of self-expression I get.  I have the best job I could ever ask for !! I have the magic fingers that turns someone’s hair, self-confidence and style into a new you every time you leave my chair.

Q: What have you learned from your clients?

A: I have an amazing cliental.  I have learned from my client’s time management and I deliver the optimal hair care to your needs while respecting your time. I know that every client has a career, family and hobbies.  I know they all love coming to the salon to get pampered and relax but they do not want to spend hours and hours in my chair.

Q: What do you specialize in?

A: I specialize in being very open and honest about your hair needs.  If you ask me, if it will look good on you?  Should I chop off my long blonde hair and shave my head? Should I get bangs?  You can always expect an honest and professional opinion from me.

Q: What are the upcoming trends in hair cutting, coloring and products?

A: I have noticed that everyone is looking for healthy, shiny soft hair that blow dries out without static or frizz.  A look that is low maintenance at home and grows out well.

Q: What should clients look for when they are shopping for a stylist?

A: When clients are shopping for a stylist they need to look for someone that they click with.  Not every stylist is for everyone and that is okay.  Look for style, personality, experience and reputation.  Your hair appointment should feel like a lunch date with your best friend you have not seen in 6 to 8 weeks, yet you leave with stunning hair feeling sexier than ever.

Q: Where do you find inspiration?

A:I find inspiration when I am talking to my client about what they are thinking they would like to have done.  I am running my fingers in your hair, we are being completely open, honest and authentic and a little light bulb of inspiration goes off in my head.  When I am not at the salon, it happens in the shower at home in the morning. In an extremely non-creepy way I am thinking about my day and my clients and I get inspired.

Q: What charitable organizations do you feel passionate about?

A: I am currently looking into doing more with our youth in our community.  Big brothers, big sisters is always something I have been interested in.  I am a big little kid and would like to give back to a child.

Q: How do you spend your time when not knee deep into your craft?

A: I love to travel it hits the reset button to life.  I never say no to Disney or a beach.  I enjoy gardening and do it yourself projects around my house.

Q: Why are professional hair care products important?

A: Professional products are important to insure the life of your color and make styling effortless on your part.  It is my job to give you the look, it is your job to maintain it. Professional products do not strip your hair color they add shine, heat protected and the correct amount of oils and protein for your hair.  I love that enology Pantine shampoo = broken down car – Oribe & R+CO = Lamborghini.

Q: What is you favorite shade of lipstick?

A: I am simple, high moisture and shine    Mac – Viva Glam
